A piece of the famous Late Silurian (Welockan) “Fossilized Pizza” from Dudley, West Midlands, UK. This piece has several fossils including fragments of Favocites Coral, Favositella Bryozoa, and Brachiopod Atrypa and Leptaena. A very displayable example of this sought after fossil sea floor, measuring 2.5″ across. Collecting at this site is no longer possible due to council backfilling of this site of special scientific interest (“SSSI”). All in all, a rather special piece and not something that will come up for sale in quantity in the near future!
