Up for bid is a slab containing a remarkable assemblage of the most sought after collectable fossils from the Neuville formation.

The slab contains multiple specimens of the trilobite Ceraurus pleurexanthemus, a specimen of the carpoid Syringocrinus, two Homocystites cystoid specimens and several well defined brachiopods.

The slab is outstanding in that the Syringo is the first recognizable specimen for the Neuville quarry, the trilobites have high definitions with great color,and to top this, the slab is also adorned with two well preserved Homocystites specimens.

What an unexpected assemblage! From my private collection and there is no reconstruction on the specimen.

Here is a great looking multiple Ceraurus pleurexanthemus trilobite slab from the famous Neuville quarry (now closed). One of them is enrolled and shows the hypostome. Here, the trilobites have good definition, details and color, making for an elegant trilobite slab.

There is a small repair on the head of the bigger trilobite.

Age : Neuville quarry, Neuville Prov. Quebec Middle Ordovician, Trenton group.

The slab is 5 inches wide and is solid limestone.
